Alcohol Ink Art

Step 1

My paintings are created with various inks on high quality yupo paper. Then isopropyl alcohol is added to make the ink more fluid and easier to move around. This creates the formations, textures and blending of colours that is characteristic of my work.

Step 2

For my illustrations I use a white paint pen in 3 different sizes and often add coloured pens afterwards. It is important to let the layer of ink dry completely before adding any illustrations, The drying time varies depending on how thick the layer of ink is. I will often let my paintings dry overnight to make sure they are dry.

Step 3

Finally the paintings are sealed with a couple of layers of varnish in order to give the best possible protection.
